AndaSeat Phantom 4 Series Enhances Ergonomic Seating with Adaptive Lumbar Support

by admin477351

AndaSeat has introduced its Phantom 4 Series, an ergonomic seating platform designed to accommodate natural user movements during activities like working, gaming, and reading. Recognizing that individuals rarely maintain a single sitting position for long durations, the Phantom 4 Series aims to provide support while allowing for dynamic shifts in posture without constant manual adjustments.

A standout feature of the Phantom 4 Series is its Dynamic Auto-Tracking Lumbar system. This system allows users to select their preferred lumbar support from 15 locking positions within a 0–95 mm adjustment range. Once set, the lumbar structure can swivel approximately 5 degrees to either side and tilt through a 25-degree forward-and-back range, ensuring it stays in contact with the user’s torso as they adjust their position.

Designed to balance stability and flexibility, the Phantom 4 Series includes a 55 kg/m³ cold-cure foam seat, offering a stable base while accommodating movement. Both the Phantom 4 and its Pro variant allow for up to 135 degrees of backrest recline and about 15 degrees of rocking, enhancing the user’s ability to change their seating posture.

The two models differ in their levels of manual adjustment. The Phantom 4 features 2D armrests with forward-back and vertical adjustments, an adjustable memory-foam head pillow, and a butterfly tilt mechanism. In contrast, the Phantom 4 Pro includes 3D 360-degree rotating armrests, extended adjustment ranges, and a multifunction tilt mechanism with tilt-lock functionality.

AndaSeat’s design philosophy emphasizes that seating should provide a stable foundation while allowing certain components to adapt to smaller changes in the user’s position. The Phantom 4 Series embodies this approach, focusing on providing stability, user-controlled adjustments, and mechanical responsiveness based on how people naturally sit rather than expecting them to maintain a fixed posture during their activities.
