by admin477351

Tim Cook has transitioned from his role as Apple’s chief executive to the position of executive chair, securing a compensation package valued at approximately $47 million. This package comprises a $2 million base salary and $45 million in stock options, where half of the shares are contingent upon performance benchmarks, and the remaining shares are scheduled to vest over a period of four years.

John Ternus has succeeded Cook as CEO, stepping into the role with a $3 million base salary and a $55 million stock award. Ternus’s compensation plan places a greater emphasis on performance-based incentives compared to Cook’s package. Previously the head of hardware engineering, Ternus brings extensive experience to his new position, where he will now oversee Apple’s product strategy and operational management.

During his time as CEO, Cook’s total compensation surpassed $74 million in 2025, while Apple’s market value saw impressive growth, reaching around $4.7 trillion. In his capacity as executive chair, Cook will shift his focus to managing Apple’s external relations, which includes fostering connections with government entities and policymakers, alongside strengthening the company’s presence in key international markets.

Ternus, known for his long-standing career at Apple, now carries the responsibility of guiding the tech giant’s future innovations and maintaining its operational excellence. His leadership marks a new chapter for Apple as it continues to navigate the evolving landscape of technology and consumer demands.
